HOSTING a virtual event?

Hosting an in person event has been the backbone of Leadercast. Due to Covid-19, we understand the restrictions that have been put into place to help combat the spread of the virus. This has led to our team having developed an incredible platform to deliver the the live content from a virtual platform. You are able to offer a virtual attendance option to your attendees who would feel more comfortable watching from their own home or office.

Here are some tips on how you can still host our event, virtually!

BUILD YOUR TEAM

Organizing a great event requires having a great team. We suggest putting together a team to help you execute your event, even if it's virtual!

HOW DO I MARKET THIS VIRTUAL EVENT?

Leadercast has designed some tips in reaching out to your target audience to sell tickets to your virtual event. Refer to the below document on how to best help generate revenue for you during this time!

Marketing Your Virtual Event

HOW TO CREATE THE PERFECT VIRTUAL EXPERIENCE

Create your own event run-of-show! Whether you're hosting on 8/11/2021 or rebroadcasting, having an event run-of-day is helpful to your audience to guide them to the type of experience you want to create for them.

We suggest you send a "Know Before You Watch" email informing your audience of the following:

  • This event is live on 8/11/21 at 9am EST. If your attendees sign into the platform any time after that, they will have missed the start of the stream
  • The stream will play over WiFi but it will work better if your computer is hardwired into the wall
  • A virtual swag bag (if you choose to offer one)
  • Sponsor information
  • Anything else you'd like to include

REBROADCASTING FLEXIBLITY

With this new platform, you have the capability of deliver the content to your community how you see fit. You tell us what you want and we can create it for you on the backend.

You have the following options:

  • Hosting a one day event on a date that fits your schedule
  • Showing one speaker over the course of a few weeks or even once a month for "Lunch and Learns"
  • You can piece together two or three speakers at a time
  • You can host multiple one day events to fulfill your ticket allocation

We suggest having an event day plan in place for these options so that you're still providing an incredible experience for your virtual attendees!

WHO IS YOUR HOST?

You might be the emcee of your event, but in case you’re not, we suggest getting a commitment from someone to be your host/emcee at least 6 to 8 weeks prior to your event. That way they have time to work with you to familiarize themselves with the format, content, and mission of the day, and will understand your vision for the level of energy you’d like to see in for your virtual event and can brainstorm on how to make that happen.

We suggest having this person emcee during the breaks on whatever platform you use to go "live" with your virtual audience!

CHOOSING ADDITIONAL SPEAKERS

Some host site leaders decide to add a local speaker or someone within your organization to the lineup, either during lunch or after the last speaker on the main stage. If you choose to do that, we ask that you remember two key things: excellence and inclusivity. Leadercast speakers are expected to have impeccable stage presence and presentation skills, and we ask that you look for the same in your additional speakers.
